Applications for the Canada Emergency Business Account (CEBA) has ended as of June 30, 2021.

Current CEBA loan recipients are encouraged to check the program key dates outlined below. For existing CEBA loan recipients, please note the following program deadlines:

  • November 30, 2021: Last date that you will be able to withdraw or transfer funds from your CEBA loan.

  • December 1, 2021: Your outstanding balance on your CEBA loan converts into a non-revolving term loan.

  • January 1, 2023: Interest applied on the balance of the term loan at the rate of 5% per annum. As a reminder, no interest applies on your CEBA loan before January 1, 2023.

  • Specific deadlines based on your CEBA application type:

Non-Deferrable Expense Applicants:

  • July 14, 2021: Deadline for all document submission.
  • September 3, 2021: Deadline for document resubmission.

For $20,000 Expansion Applicants Required to Submit Additional Information Related to Their Business Number:

  • August 20, 2021: Deadline to submit additional information related to your business number is August 20, 2021.
For $20,000 Expansion Applicants Required to Requalify Under the Non-Deferrable Expense Stream:

  • September 16, 2021: Deadline to submit initial document submission.
  • October 17, 2021: Deadline to resubmit document.
